Polykool membranes are premium, self-adhered, fire-rated, modified bitumen roofing products, manufactured via patented ADESO^® Dual-Compound technology, whereby the membrane consists of an APP compound on the top layer and an aggressive self-adhesive compound on the bottom layer. Polykool self-adhered membranes are built with a high performance reinforced polyester mat to guarantee excellent dimensional stability. Polykool self-adhered membranes are finished with a patent pending PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) bright white and highly reflective film laminate weathering surface. The side laps have a patented SEALLap^® ; a factory-applied adhesive treatment that enhances bonding at the laps. Polykool has a split release film on the bottom side. When installed as a system with Polykool Tape, Polykool provides superior watertight performance and a highly reflective, durable roofing surface. Polykool meets current and proposed cool roof performace standards including California Title 24 and Energy Star^®, and is rated by the CRRC^®.
